Total speculation, but the two reviewers whose reviews have been linked in this thread, especially the High Def Digest one claiming significant improvements to the 3D would, if pushed, possibly say something like, 'Well, the 3D looks better because it's now a sharper image.' But that certainly wouldn't remotely account for the way they described some improvements to the 3D (eg 'A number of sequences that were flat on the older disc are now actively in 3D').
Did JC not indicate the imax 3D re-release was remastered?įrom memory, the main PR talking point on that release was the HFR I definitely don't remember any mention of them going back to improve or in any way change the 3D (I mean, kind of obviously - there was no way they were going to, in my opinion).
